The Oyster Lady

My visit to the breath-taking paradise island of Bali just off Indonesia a few years ago left a deep impression on my psyche and my soul. I came away with one profound word... FLOW. I experienced flow in their culture like nowhere else on the globe since. Everything flows there, and by that I mean it just works.

The question of "what if..." is what brought me to Johannesburg.

What if I can expand my business into Jhb. It was such a tempting idea and after considering it for about a day, I decided to take the journey and only stop the process of relocating here should things NOT line up. But, everything lined up. Accommodation, schooling and work opportunities booked in advance even, and I had some resources saved up to sustain me for several months while I found my feet.

Something interesting is afoot.

Yes I'm living in Johannesburg. I've done a couple of festivals, a Gig here and there,and am attracting some private sales. I also saved a Hotel in Kimberley of all places with their crisis, supplying urgent oysters for an event when they were let down by their own very big supplier. That was a bit of an Adrenalin rush. I'm also managing things in Cape Town from a distance (with plenty glitches)....!

However, there's been an incredible flow of fresh new insights....
